Jim Russell Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC is a multi-generational business with a rich history dating back over a century. The story began in 1923 when Charles Russell first entered the business. In 1925, he purchased the Friendly Tavern building on Main Street in Zionsville, which became the location of the original business. After Charles passed away in 1936, the family business took a pause.
It was Charles’ son, Earl Russell, who revived the business in 1955 after serving in the Army Corps of Engineers. Earl’s two sons soon joined him, continuing the family tradition. Jim, one of Earl's sons, started working with his father at a young age—driving a service truck and helping with jobs before he even had his driver’s license. Jim worked alongside Earl until his passing in 1996.
After Earl's death, Jim and his brother worked together for a year before Jim decided to venture out independently. In 1997, he established Jim Russell Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC. The family legacy continued when Jim’s nephew, Derek Brandt, joined him in 2002. When Jim decided to retire, Derek purchased the company in 2011.
For over a decade, Derek has upheld the high standards and honest service that the Russell family has been known for. As a Heil authorized dealer, Jim Russell Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC continues to offer superior products and services in both plumbing and HVAC, committed to serving the community with the same dedication that has defined the company for generations.
